Its officially the run up to Christmas and the social media platforms are getting you ready, with Meta and TikTok releasing new features ahead of the festive period. X is also continuing to try and bring users back to the platform by sharing more data about the platform. Here’s the latest!
Meta updates ad option offering in the run-up to Christmas
In the run-up to the festive season, Meta has released some new ad updates to help with the Christmas sales push. First of all, Meta has added a notification that will be displayed once a user visits a landing page. This will also automatically apply the code at checkout. The discount code can be uploaded when creating the ad, so that the code is displayed to the user.
Next, Meta has also updated its reminder ads. Advertisers can now add a prompt of an end date to their Meta ads, aiming to keep offers at the front of the user’s mind and drive more sales.
Meta shares checklist for social media advertising around Christmas
Keeping up with the festivities, Meta has also shared a checklist for holiday marketing planning. The checklist looks over the key strategies advertisers should be using within Meta ads. This covers creative advice, maximising the power of Advantage+, maximising connections and business growth with new audiences – very useful for all advertisers.
TikTok has released an updated version of its Search Ad campaigns
TikTok has launched search ads that can now advertise for traffic and web conversion. TikTok will also allow advertisers to select relevant keywords for their campaigns, similar to how YouTube and Google targeting works. Another great update from TikTok, allowing advertisers to precisely place their ads along specific content surrounding keywords.
X reveals popular topics to try and entice advertisers back onto the platform
With advertisers avoiding spending their ad spend on X, X has revealed the most talked about topics on the platform to entice advertisers to return. The top sees sports, gaming and music taking the top spots, with food, business, finance and fashion lower down the list. Is this enough to bring advertisers back to the platform?
