First thing’s first – we have so much going on at team PPR that we have our very own newsletter to bring you the latest news, tips and trends from life in social media and PR.

Secondly – if you’re not subscribed to said newsletter, what are you doing?

Thirdly and finally – we’re dropping our monthly updates into blog form, so there’s really no excuse for you not to stay on top of what we’re up to. Let’s take a look at some exciting things from June!

‘Embracing Marketing Mistakes’ is HERE, people!

We told you we were working on a cheeky rebrand and here it is, in the form of marketing professionals spilling their deepest, darkest secrets (mistakes at work and how you can learn from them, that is).

Here are some of our fav episodes since the rebrand:

🏆 An astonishing win for Astonish

We’re incredibly proud that our client, Astonish, was announced as Household Goods Brand of the Year at this year’s Grocer Gold Awards!

We’ve loved working alongside the team at the Yorkshire-based household cleaning brand for the last 12 months, delivering amazing levels of product placement and expert-led coverage month on month. We can’t wait to see what comes next!

⬆️ Blogs for strategy

  • We visited Imbibe Live 2024 and came away with some key takeaways and trends to consider for anyone working in the drinks trade sector.
  • Analysis and trend identification is an important aspect to any social media strategy – and AI is making it even easier and quicker to do this.
  • We know why blogging is important for businesses, but do you? Blogs can boost online visibility, drive web traffic and establish greater credibility with your audience – check out our handy guide to get started.

📰 News that grabbed us

🍻 Hooch beer is here

As part of our work with our client, Global Brands, we’re working with Hooch on its latest collab with SALT Brewery – a delicious lemon-infused pale ale called ‘Twisting My Lemon Man’.

The name is a nod to the ‘Cool Britannia’ era and The Haçienda days of Manchester, so naturally we’ve teamed up with Happy Mondays’ Bez to help bring the launch to life. You talk so hip!

💥 Your monthly dose of PPR action

As mentioned, the pod has had something of a rebrand – and we’re so excited to bring you more of the same great content, under a slightly different look and feel. Check it out here.

Whether it’s a crisis, amplifying your brand reach or crafting a winning strategy, we’ve got a webinar for it all. Sign up here to secure your spot on the next one, or watch previous webinars on demand.

📱 Tik-Talks

Don’t tell anyone, but we went down a scrolling rabbit-hole when ‘researching’ fun, new updates to share and stayed there for longer than we should have. We think it’s an effective use of company time, as we’ve got some great things to share with you:

❤️ Is TikTok a place to find love? A love triangle has formed between three content creators, Ayamé, Yuval and Oliver, and has gone beyond the bounds of TikTok as users have become engrossed in the story.

🎵 Nish Kumar and James Acaster went viral for their ‘DJ set’ at Glastonbury – which simply consisted of queueing their favourite songs on a laptop and dancing. One user said it was the best thing I’ve ever seen, which is impressive when we consider the festival headliners. Sometimes, simple works!

📢 TikTok has introduced new restrictions on ads targeting teens, broadening its targeting options so that teen user data isn’t being exploited. 25% of its audience aged under 20, so this is an important change to consider in your TikTok marketing.

At Prohibition, we work with various brands across all sectors, B2B and B2C, to create innovative PR and social media campaigns that deliver real ROI and help meet business goals.
