Freeths is a full-service law firm with 13 offices across the UK. Its risk mitigation team was involved in the infamous Post Office case, where it fought for years to gain justice for hundreds of postmasters.

Following ITV’s recent drama, Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Freeths wanted to shine a light on what is known as the largest miscarriage of justice in British history.

Prohibition was briefed to launch a LinkedIn Live event for Freeths, showcasing James Hartley – the lawyer who led the case – to discuss the challenges faced, aimed at targeting commercial, in-house lawyers and general counsel within large corporations. This included launching teaser content and a paid campaign to drive sign ups to the event, as well as shooting and compiling video content for the firm’s social channels.

Engage:

  • Social media: A strategic content plan focused on creating awareness of the LinkedIn Live and driving attendee figures.
  • Creative: Full event management including filming and streaming. Developed a script for the Live event as well as a teaser animation and an interview-style promo. Additionally, to support social media activity, we created a range of creatives which included static, animation, and video snippets.
  • Reputation management: Monitored social activity before, during and after the event, and compiled a number of responses.
