TikTok can be a very powerful tool for brands. However, getting to grips with such a fast-paced and ever-changing platform can be overwhelming. A platform with a new microtrend every other day can be daunting, but can also be incredibly successful for brands who know what they’re doing.
Using influencers to harness the power of TikTok is great for brands of all shapes and sizes, especially within the beauty sector. The beauty community dominates TikTok with new products and trends constantly.
You might be wondering how influencer marketing plays into this, as no one can ensure a viral product. Well, many of these influencers are known for creating a hit trend or introducing a cult product to the platform and seeing the demand grow overnight.
Here’s some of the top influencers smashing it on TikTok:
Kicking off this list, we have Georgia Barrett who blew up across the platform after she showed her ‘Passport Makeup’ where she showed her viewers how to achieve a flawless image for their passports. A trend that has had over 304.2M views on TikTok. As with all TikTok trends, it had a fairly short life span, however, Georgia has gone on to gain 1.1 million followers and 52.2 million likes with her original passport post currently standing at 23.3 million views.
Amelia Olivia has been a staple of the UK TikTok beauty scene for some time and has created a name for herself as a lover and pioneer of the ‘Soap brows’ trend which took over the site during the time of the no-makeup – makeup trend due to covid. Showcasing the trend through a variety of products and techniques and teaching her tips and tricks to her now 1.3 million followers.
Rather than being known for a specific trend, some influencers are known for a specific product that gained them status popularity on the app. For instance Elise Morgan is rarely seen without her REFY beauty brow sculpt. The product shot to the must-have product on the app with #refybrows & #refybrowsculpt gaining over 55 million views. Elise maintains popularity with her get-ready videos.
In the wake of the ‘clean girl’ & ‘soft glam’ trends recently some are fighting back to makeup glam again. Cariad Ryan began the pink under-eye trend, rather than using a neutral and brightening concealer. Cariad takes a bubble gum pink and goes full glam, with beauty creators across the world recreating her look and #pinkundereye gaining 93.9 million views. She continues to rock the pink look and show off other bold looks to her 538k followers.
