With content marketing and the use of social media continuously on the increase, producing noticeable stand out video content to share across platforms is a regular challenge for brands. Communicating key messages through subtle tones which appeal to a particular target audience often requires a clever strategy and of course a shrewd execution. However, an effective and powerful film can still generate huge success, capable of growing awareness through extending a brand’s message to a wider audience through extra social shares and online mentions.

At Prohibition, we specialise in delivering videos of all shapes and sizes on numerous topics and so we thought it would be useful to showcase a few to give you a flavour, if you are interested in how video can help your brand, please feel free to visit our Video Production Page.

We have been proving just how effective a video shared online can be, when it incorporates authenticity to the brand and exciting content to keep its audience engaged.

Here are some of the videos we have delivered over the last twelve months:

  1. Goldsmiths – The Gift of Giving Video

In 2018, Prohibition produced the outstanding Christmas campaign for the leading quality jeweller, Goldsmiths. Focusing on the magic and goodwill of Christmas, The Gift of Giving highlights the happiness a meaningful gift can bring to those you love, showcasing Goldsmiths’ jewellery collection. The film was viewed extensively and to date has been watched by more than 170,000 people on YouTube alone and it stood out as being the brand providing a magic moment for all.

  2. Emerald Publishing – International Women’s Day

As part of International Women’s Day, Emerald Publishing celebrated with the help of Prohibition in creating a video focusing on female talent in academia. Showcasing the works of women who have first-hand experience of what life is really like in the academic world, Katy Shaw, Helen Beddow and Alison McAnena explained how they’re making a change for the better through shaping the experiences of the next generation.

  3. Cartwright and Butler – Mother’s Day Bake With Karen Wright

Mothers deserve to be celebrated, and Cartwright & Butler were able to do just that with their Mother’s Day campaign. Together we were able to team up with Great British Bake Off contestant Karen Wright to show mums across the country how much they truly mean to us. Through the use of various social platforms, we brought recipes and shared a few of Karen’s top baking tips to families across the country just in time for Mother’s Day – no soggy bottoms around here!

5. Cartwright & Butler – The Art of wrapping: Sweet Jar

Staying with Cartwright & Butler, they were also bringing a little Christmas spirit to their audience with our help in their 2018 Christmas campaign. Keeping customers from getting tangled in a web of Sellotape, we came together to create a series of videos for wrapping tasty sweets and foodie gifts throughout the festive season, teaming up with present wrapping expert Jane Means for her useful and fun tips.

6. Mappin & Webb – Christmas Campaign featuring Lydia Millen

In 2018, Prohibition dazzled the bespoke jewellery and luxury gift company, Mappin & Webb, with their exquisite Christmas campaign featuring lifestyle influencer, Lydia Millen. By collaborating with Millen, viewers were able to experience the superb one-on-one customer service Mappin & Webb prides itself on whilst viewing the Limited Edition 1ct Diamond Collection and fine jewellery from the luxury brands Messika and Birks, alongside exclusive Mappin & Webb pieces from the stunning Beaumont & Gossamer collections. With more than 462,000 views on YouTube alone, Prohibition was successful in showcasing the outstanding craftsmanship and contemporary aesthetics of the excellent Mappin & Webb brand.

7. Sealy – Your sleep questions answered: Q&A with Dr Sarah Jarvis

When the world’s leading bed manufacturer, Sealy, wanted to project the importance of sleep alongside its fantastic customer care, we were able to create something suitable. Through a series of videos partnering with Dr Sarah Jarvis, the sleep experts were able to offer advice and answers to some of the most common questions about sleep, as submitted by Sealy’s social media followers. From those who felt wide awake at night to others who were rudely awoken by their partners’ snoring, we not only helped Sealy to achieve their dreams, but also their loyal customers too.

8. The Light – Something for Everyone Brand Video

Looking to increase awareness of the number of exciting days out available at the much-loved Leeds shopping centre, The Light approached us to create their latest brand video which is here on Facebook. Focusing on the centre’s modern style and incorporating minimalistic storylines with a range of characters, we were able to create a clip showing the local audience that there’s something available for everyone to enjoy at The Light in Leeds.

9. The Light – Yorkshire Day

Prohibition was also successful in generating stunts for The Light through simple but effective techniques. As part of Yorkshire Day, we surprised Leeds locals by handing out over 300 white roses, spreading smiles across the city. This was all captured beautifully though videos which were shared across social media, to help increase the shopping centre’s awareness.

10. CEWE Photoworld – Colour my photo

Earlier this year, we helped CEWE customers to reminisce on precious moments lost through wear and tear of their most treasured photographic memories. Partnering with renowned photo restoration artist James Paterson, the Colour My Photo campaign restored the old photos of five lucky winners to their former glory. From old wedding albums faded over time, to ancestors captured in black and white images, James took customers neglected old images and brought them to life with impressive detail and accuracy, bringing forgotten memories a new lease of life.

11. Salamander Pumps – Water Pressure Races! High Pressure vs Low Pressure: Do You Suffer From Poor Water Pressure?

Whilst water pumps may not be what most consider an exciting video opportunity, Prohibition was able to transform Salamander Pumps into the ultimate fun brand. The ‘Water Pressure Races’ challenged low water pressure against Salamander technology as two households went head to head in a race against the clock. From slow filling baths and dribbling taps to disappointing shower experiences, the efficiency of Salamander kept audiences entertained!
