How long have you been at Prohibition? 1 year in August!
What do you love most about your job? The team! There’s nothing but good vibes in this team, and having an SMT you can approach is so refreshing.
Tell us a bit about your journey to working at Prohibition. Prior to Prohibition I worked at Epiphany/Jaywing for three years specialising in digital PR and link building through creative campaigns. Before that I got my start at Stickyeyes when I’d just returned from a year in Australia serving up delicious hot coffee in 40 degree heat (a very dumb temp job choice by me).
What’s your top tip for someone looking to get into the PR industry? Show you’re proactive and keen to learn! No one expects you to know everything, but a newbie that is visibly learning and thinking on their feet is the ideal addition to any PR team. Also, be prepared for endless office snacks.
What’s your favourite social media platform and why? TikTok 100%. I’m just obsessed with the good vibes it brings, especially after what feels like forever of platforms like Instagram feeding unrealistic expectations and ideals. Instead, I spend hours and hours laughing at funny TikTok content, and relating to the very real stories and experiences people tell. Having said that, I think there’s something to be said about the danger of false information on the channel. I’m intrigued to see how the platform tackles that in the next few years.
What do you love most about working/living up North? There’s too many to choose just one! The friendliness, the ability to be in a city and then in the countryside within minutes and of course the food!
What three things could you not live without? Graham (my cat), lying down (that’s a hobby, right?) and tiger bread with butter.

If you could switch places with any celeb for the day – who would it be and why? Kris Jenner. Because she is an icon who is living her best life and turned what would be a PR disaster into a multi-billion empire for her entire family. Say what you want about them, that’s impressive.
What’s something you’re secretly (or not so secretly!) really good at/passionate about outside of work? I’m really passionate about peace and quiet haha. I think turning your brain off is SO important for sanity, especially when you work in a fast-paced industry like PR. In general, I think we (the world, not the industry) move too fast and doing less/moving slower should be normalised more. With that in mind, I do my best to practice “slow-living” where possible whether that be through exercise, reading, podcasts, cooking, watching TV and being with my friends.
